The Design of the T3 is based on that of the tried and true T1 by using a similar tread in a new way. The central divide and the shallower tread cause more rubber to be in contact with the surface at any given time. This guarantees a longer tyre life and improved grip on paved roads. The center canal helps to displace water without slipping and the cleats on the outside take care for excellent grip on loose and soft surfaces / or on harder surfaces at lower pressures
